Keeping track of your habits only works if the tracker is easy to use, and a cluttered one is usually the first thing people give up on. To make it simpler, I’ve designed a set of free printable habit trackers in a clean, minimalist style, all available as PDF downloads.
This post includes weekly, daily, monthly and quarterly habit tracker layouts, so you can pick the one that matches how you like to track. These are easy to print even on a black and white printer since they are black, white, with shades of gray.
How to Use Your Printable Habit Tracker
- Download: Click the download button under the layout you want.
- Print: The PDFs are A4 size. If you use US Letter paper, choose your paper size in page setup and select “Fit to page” in your print settings.
- Write in your habits: Add each habit on the lines provided. Starting with just a few habits is easier to stick to than filling every row.
- Track: Fill in a circle every time you complete a habit.

Here are the free habit trackers available for download. Choose the layout that suits you or grab them all!
1. Weekly Habit Tracker (Vertical)
This portrait layout has space for 10 habits, with a column for each day from Monday to Sunday. On the right there’s a “/7” total for each habit, so at the end of the week you can see at a glance how many days you completed it. There’s also a line at the top to write the week, and lined space at the bottom for notes or a short reflection.
2. Weekly Habit Tracker (Horizontal)
If you prefer a landscape page, this is the same idea in a wider format. It has 8 habit rows and large, easy-to-fill circles for Monday to Sunday. It’s a simple one to pin up on a wall or tuck into the front of a planner.
3. Daily Habit Tracker
This one runs down the page, with the days 1 to 31 listed on the left and 8 habit columns across the top. At the very top you’ll find the months of the year, so you can circle the month you’re tracking and reuse the same page layout all year. There are two lined spaces at the bottom for notes.
4. Monthly Habit Tracker
This monthly habit tracker has room for 12 habits, with a row of 31 circles for each one and a total box at the end. Write in the month and year at the top, then use the two sections at the bottom, “This month I’m building” and “Notes & wins”, to set a focus for the month and record how it went.
5. Quarterly Habit Trackers (Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4)
If you’d rather see three months at once, these quarterly trackers fit a full quarter on a single page. Each month gets its own block with 8 habit rows and a circle for every day, and there’s a line at the top to write the year. February includes a 29th day, so the sheet works in leap years too.
There’s one page for each quarter, and they all share the same layout. Q1 covers January to March, Q2 covers April to June, Q3 covers July to September and Q4 covers October to December. Download the quarter you need, or all four to cover the whole year.
